About Me
I am a dedicated Reading Specialist with over 30 years of experience in Early Middle Childhood Literacy. Certified in Elementary Education and Specific Learning Disabilities, I also hold Florida endorsements in Reading and ESOL. My career includes roles as a Reading Recovery Teacher®, K–5 Reading Interventionist, and classroom teacher in kindergarten through second grade. I have also worked extensively with students in grades 1–7 with learning disabilities, providing individualized instruction to support their literacy and academic development. I am passionate about cultivating strong foundational reading skills and addressing the diverse needs of every learner.
Outside of work, I live in Fleming Island with my husband, our two Shetland Sheepdogs, and our cat. We are proud parents of a son who serves in the military. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and staying connected to the community.
